The public schools of Dunedin are part of the Pinellas County Schools, one of the largest and best school systems in the State of Florida.

The Dunedin schools have a long and successful record. Graduates of Dunedin High School go on to attend the best colleges and universities in the United States. Recent DHS graduate, Taylor Pollock, graduated from Harvard University and is now a student at Columbia Medical School.

DHS graduates are successful in business. Mike Bowman is one example of many. President of Dunedin Refrigeration, a large heating and air conditioning firm, Mike is also an instructor at Pinellas Technical Education Centers.

Many other Dunedin graduates are productive and responsible citizens in a wide range of professions. Christopher M. Still is a nationally known artist; Ken Sellers, Susan Connoy and Ginger Francisco are among many school teachers; Sylvia Earle is an internationally recognized marine biologists; Harry Gross has been Director of Leisure Service for Dunedin for many years, Dr. Kimball Frazer and Dr. Joseph Garasic are two of many physicians and country music artist Lari White sings around the world.
